Regular servicing is the cheapest maintenance a car ever receives. Fresh oil protects the engine's moving parts, clean filters keep contaminants out, and a proper inspection catches wear while it is still a small job rather than a tow truck.
For vehicles outside their logbook period we build the service around how the car is actually used — short suburban trips, long highway kilometres, towing and dusty conditions all wear components at different rates.

Most modern vehicles are serviced every 10,000–15,000 km or 12 months. If you have passed either, book it in.
Cars that rarely warm up fully accumulate moisture and fuel in the oil. They often need servicing on time rather than on distance.
New noises, a different pedal feel, higher fuel use or a warning light are all worth investigating before the next scheduled service.
A service is an inspection plus scheduled replacement. It is not a repair. If we find worn brakes, a leaking shock absorber or a failing battery, that is separate work — and we will always tell you what it is, show you the evidence and let you decide whether to proceed.
A minor service covers the routine items: oil, filter, fluids, and a full inspection. A major service adds the longer-interval items due at that point in the vehicle's life — items such as spark plugs, transmission fluid, coolant or timing components, depending on the make and the kilometres travelled.
